Robert Noble has been in the piano tuning business since the summer of 1970. While in West Long Branch, New Jersey as a summer pastoral intern, he apprenticed under Rev. Walter Eckstein as a tuner. His tuning career was launched at that time. Upon returning to Northeast Bible Institute, he pursued his studies there and the following year apprenticed under Edward B. Reardon, a blind tuner and music director at the college. After graduation, Robert returned to the Youngstown, Ohio area where he tuned for 5 music stores. In 1986 he moved to Mansfield, OH, where he has resided since then. He retired from fulltime factory work and is currently tuning fulltime.
Noble Piano Services tunes for Mount Vernon Nazarene University, several local school systems, churches, and private owners.
Noble Piano services consists of Mr. Robert Noble and his daughter who tunes with him as a hobby. Amanda is a fine tuner with great skills and potential as a tuner, but her interests actually lie in other areas. However, she helps her father out when needed to carry the work load that has become increasingly heavy over the past few years. Amanda is a welcome addition to the practice and is a very fine tuner in her own right.
Mr. Noble went on to continue his life's work in ministry by serving in many areas. He has been an associate or youth pastor in several churches, travelled for 7 years as a Child Evangelist holding Kids Krusades and Vacation Bible Schools. He has been a ventriloquist since he was 8 years old.
